SULTANTEPE RESIDENCE
Medium Rise Residential Building +3600 m², Istanbul, 2021
Concept

In response to the varied lifestyle needs of the apartment owners in Sultantepe, I designed multiple apartment configurations—ranging from 2-bedroom 1-bathroom units to more spacious 3-bedroom 2-bathroom layouts. Each plan was developed with a focus on spatial clarity, daylight penetration, and efficient circulation, while remaining sensitive to the structural limitations of the existing building. Throughout the design phase, I maintained ongoing communication with residents to ensure their expectations and preferences were thoughtfully integrated into the final layouts.

Once a shared agreement was reached among the unit owners, I prepared a comprehensive preliminary design package that adhered to local planning codes and architectural regulations. This stage also involved reimagining the building’s external appearance with a contemporary façade design. Using a refined mix of materials and a clear compositional logic, the new façade aims to enhance the building’s visual identity and blend seamlessly with its urban surroundings. The updated design was then presented to all stakeholders as part of a unified and contextually responsive proposal.
